Property Code Compliance Inspector-
The Village of Shorewood, WI (population 13,000) is seeking a Code Compliance Inspector. This position will perform inspections of residential and multifamily properties for property ownership changes. Will conduct on-site building maintenance inspections and re-inspections for all buildings ensuring that buildings and properties are in compliance with all applicable local ordinances and state statutes. Will also investigate citizen property complaints. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in related field or a minimum of two years of experience in the building trades above the level of construction laborer. Possession of Certification for Uniform Dwelling Code One and Two Family Residential Construction. Valid WI driver’s license required. Salary range: $45,000-$54,000. Background check required. Town of Union Building Inspection Services/Zoning/Code Enforcement Request for Proposal
The Town of Union, Door County, Wisconsin is seeking Building Inspection/Zoning/Code Enforcement services either on a contract basis or employee basis (part-time).
Duties include, but are not limited to UDC and Town of Union Building Ordinance enforcement, plan review, verifying setbacks, issuing permits and inspection of buildings for compliance. State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce UDC Construction, HVAC, Plumbing and Electric Inspection credentials required with five years inspection experience in a residential setting or a combination including building trades/construction management experience. Identify and respond to Town Ordinance/Code violations and assist in the remedy thereof. Ability to work with a diverse range of people including Town staff, elected officials, contractors and the public is a must. Must be customer service oriented, embrace technology in their work and thrive in a team-oriented work environment.
Duties also include zoning, setbacks and Town ordinance/code enforcement.
The building inspector/zoning administrator person must be available on a at need basis to provide professional/prompt service to the community.
